How Do I Warmup My Voice?

emma39373

An interesting question from one of my actors this week, 'How do I know what to put into my warmup?'. With so many different techniques it can seem a little confusing but no need to panic, it can be solved by asking three simple questions. One: 'How do I feel right now?' This helps you focus on body & brain. Two: 'What does the audience need from me?' This helps you focus on the story you're telling. Three: 'What does the space demand?' This brings you back to your voice again and what you need to keep your audience engaged. These are universal questions that help you on the business 'stage' as well as the theatre.
